Getting to Casa Del Sol:
Use Waze or Google Maps to search for Casa Del Sol Potrero. Our official address is Potrero, across the soccer field, on the road to Playa Penca.
If you are using a rental car, select avoid dirt roads.
The complex is 1 hour 30 min from Liberia Airport and 4-5 hours from San Jose
Checking In and Out:
Check in Time: 3pm
Check Out Time: 11am
Check in Instructions: The security guard at the gate will have you name. You will need to show Identification.
The key for the condo is in the lock box by the door. I will message you the code before you arrive.
We have one outdoor camera next to the lockbox on the patio to monitor the lockbox. There are no other cameras inside or around our condo.
Please Drop off all garbage next to security guard house. We recycle aluminum, glass, plastic and cans by the guard gate in the big fish.
Put the key back in the box and close it up. There is a $50 key fee for any key that is lost.
You are not required to clean the condo before you leave.
Parking:
There is one parking space for this unit. It is right by the guard gate inside the gate marked #3.
We only have one available space for our condo.
If you need another space you are welcome to park on the street in front of the guard station.

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE CONDO OR ON THE PATIO OR BY THE POOL AREA. SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN THE PARKING LOT. THERE WILL BE A $1000 FINE FOR ANYONE CAUGHT SMOKING IN THE CONDO.
In the Kitchen:
The pots and pans, a pressure cooker, plastic bowls, and cooking items, and flatware are in the kitchen drawers and cabinets.
Small appliances are under the counter in the corner by the refrigerator. We have a rice cooker, coffee maker, toaster and blender.
We also have a teapot, coffee bean grinder, french press and one cup percolator.
We have plenty of cups, plates and glasses in the cabinets. And there are extra above the microwave.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not take any of these plastic cups, bowls or plates to the beach. We need these for the guests that stay in the condo after you.
There are shelves in the back utility to store your groceries.
Beach Items:
Feel free to use the beach items in the back room.
There are 2 shade tents, 6 chairs, 5 swim boards (for the pool only) , noodles, snorkel equipment and 2 beach bags.
Beach towels are in the linen closet for you to use. Please do not leave the beach towels at the beach or by the pool, we need them for our guests who stay there after you.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE shake the sand outside the condo. Shake the sand of the of beach items before returning to the hooks or putting in the dryer.
Living Area:
Trundle Sofa: Our sofa pulls out into a trundle. There are sheets in the long part of the couch, just lift it up. Please use the blue blanket on the sofa especially for pets.
PLEASE DO NOT SIT ON THE EDGE OF THE TRUNDLE PULLOUT OF THE SOFA, IT WILL BREAK. IT IS FRAGILE. DO NOT JUMP ON THE TRUNDLE PULLOUT, IT WILL BREAK. BE GENTLE TAKING OUT AND PUTTING AWAY, IT IS FRAGILE, IT WILL BREAK.
There are cards and some games in the drawers under the TV for your enjoyment. Please put back in original order, other guests will be using after you stay there.
NETFLIX:
PLEASE DO NOT RESET THE NETFLIX USERNAME AND PASSWORD.
To sign in to our Netflix account smart TV:
- Click the Netflix button
- If the Netflix account is signed out, contact us to sign you back in.
There is a HDMI cable in the drawer under the TV. Feel free to connect that to HDMI and plug to your PC or device.
We DO NOT have cable TV.
Appliances:
The stove is electric.
We have a Dishwasher.
There is a water filter on the refrigerator door and an ice maker in the freezer.
Our hot water is from a tankless water heater.
We have a Washer and Dryer combo in the kitchen.
PLEASE DO NOT WASH WHITE TOWELS WITH COLORS.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE shake the sand out of your clothes before washing. Sand will break the washer and dryer!

Safe Directions:
There is a safe in the Master Bedroom closet. There is a key on the box. We do not have a set code on the box, feel free to just use the key or to reset the code to your desired number.
THERE IS A $100 FEE IF YOU LOSE THE KEY FOR THE SAFE.
Things to Do:
Relax by the beach or pool, ATV, Horseback riding, surfing, sailing, fishing, hiking, exploring, zip-lining, bird watching, jet skiing … So much to do in Costa Rica. Contact us for recommendations.
Costa Rica is safe to drive. We recommend getting insurance at the car rental place and not online. Golf carts are also available to rent around Potrero.

Restaurants:
Most local restaurants are delicious. There are a few within walking distance: Reparitos and the Pizzeria are great behind the complex, Loritos and gelato is across the street, and Las Brisas at the end of the street. La Jama, across from the soccer field is delicious and affordable too.
If you want to drive, Potrero has many more choices as well as Surf Side, Flamingo Beach, Brasilito. Mar Vista and Las Catalinas have restaurants. Tamarindo is only 30-40 minutes away with a many fantastic choices for dining. You could probably spend a month trying all the local restaurants within 30 minutes and still have not tried them all.

Grocery Shopping:
There are about 4 small grocery stores within walking distance in of our condo in Potrero. Check out Stores here.
There are a few grocery stores as you drive to Tamarindo. Google Maps will show them all if you type in grocery.
There is also a Walmart in Liberia and a Discount Italian store that has decent frozen pizza and wine.
And don’t forget to try the stop at the local farm stands along the way. In season fruits and vegetables are just amazing in Costa Rica.
House Rules:
No parties or events.
Pets: Small pets are allowed with a $100 extra cleaning fee. Pets need to be monitored at all time, there are wild animals around, beware. We are not responsible for your pet being attacked. Please encourage your pet not to get on the furniture. If they must, use a blanket to protect the furniture. You will be held responsible for any damage your pet causes. Pets are not allowed into the pool area!
No smoking inside the home or in the condominium common areas.
Please obey the pool rules posted by the pool.
Please refrain from making noise past 10PM.
